CLOSED FOR SEASON
To all members, guests, and staff of Granite Curling Club:
The Granite Board of Governors have voted to close the club and cancel all remaining curling and facility events for the remainder of the curling season, effective today (March 16, 2020).
In concern for the safety of our members and staff regarding the COVID-19 (corona virus) and preventing it’s spread - the Board of Directors of the Granite Curling Club has made a decision to close the curling club effective Monday March 16, 2020 for the following:
All League Play
Rock n Roll Bonspiel
All Scheduled Events
At this time no one has reported to the club that they have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, but we feel it is our responsibility to take this step.
We understand the impact it has in this last week of curling and the decision has not been made lightly. We will be compensating our staff in lieu of the early closure.
Further communication regarding next year’s registration will be sent out later this month.
To facilitate locker clean-up, the following arrangements will be made:
The facility will be accessible Monday, March 16 through Tuesday, March 17
for locker clean-up from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm. The bar and restaurant will be closed; please minimize personal contact with others as much as possible
during your stay.
Please bring your own hand sanitizer / disinfectant wipes to clean your hands and locker handles before and after clean-up.
If you are sick, or fall into one of the self-isolation categories, please stay home. Arrange for a friend or teammate to pick up your belongings and deliver them to you when it is safe to do so. If you are unable to do so, your belongings will remain safe in your locker until the facility re-opens.
Until we see you again - please stay healthy, and contribute to the collective efforts in limiting the spread of COVID-19. Thank you for your support and understanding.
